It will help the player in decision-making processes, like should he fold or continue the game, at a given point. However, there is yet another segment, knowing which a player can be assured of having control of the hands. That segment comprises of ‘Miscellaneous probabilities’. These probabilities are used by expert players. It is wise to learn the following probabilities by heart.
- There is a chance that another player makes a straight by the river, when 3 cards are flopped to a straight. It is nothing but performing a back door straight, which is otherwise called ‘runner-runner’. It has the least possibility of 1.5 % of occurrence.
- There is a possibility of nearly 17% that the player’s opponent holds a set of 2 cards, which are paired on the board and simultaneously having totally two players in the hand.
- There is a possibility of nearly 26% that the player’s opponent holds a set of 2 cards, which are paired on the board and simultaneously having totally three players in the hand.
- There is a possibility of nearly 34% that the player’s opponent holds a set of 2 cards, which are paired on the board and simultaneously having totally four players in the hand.
- There is a possibility of nearly 43% that the player’s opponent holds a set of 2 cards, which are paired on the board and simultaneously having totally five players in the hand.
- There is a chance of holding a Gutshot straight draw improved to a straight by the river. The possibility of this event is about 17%.
- When 3 cards are flopped to a flush, which is nothing but a back door flush, there is a chance that flush is also made by the river card. There are nearly 4% chances of occurrence of this event.
- There is a chance that the player’s opponent owns an Ace in his hand while 1 is placed on the board and there are five players in the hand. Probability of this event is nearly 58%.
- There is a chance that the player’s opponent owns an Ace in his hand while 1 is placed on the board and there are four players in the hand. Probability of this event is nearly 47%.
- There is a chance that the player’s opponent owns an Ace in his hand while 1 is placed on the board and there are three players in the hand. Probability of this event is nearly 35%.
- There is a chance that the player’s opponent owns an Ace in his hand while 1 is placed on the board and there are two players in the hand. Probability of this event is nearly 23%.
- There is a possibility of 13% where another player obtains an Ace on the river or turn, when the player holds one in the hand and misses on the flop.
